Make-up is a girls best friend

I do all the make-up for my shoots so I'm always practicing my ideas on my younger sister, poor her! haha!
Today I was trying out some eye shadow looks inspired from a stack of magazines I bought in January.

First look is kind of a luxurious Egyptian feel look, I really need some new brushes to blend the gold/ yellow, I've just been looking online at cheap make-up / discount make-up I can't believe I haven't googled it before! Samples of eyeshadows for 45p! Definatly stocking up! So this look was achieved with a normal shadow sponge brush, an angled thin shadow brush and L'Oreal Black Silver Super Liner

I bought this Victoria Jackson palette a few years ago 3 to exact so it's probably out of date but I love the colours so much I can't bring myself to throw it away! None of these colours have names as far as I'm aware but I used the Navy mixed with some Vaseline for the first look.

This is another of Victoria Jackson's Palettes "On the Go"  I used the Yellow in the bottom right corner mixed with Vaseline.. I tend to mix my shadows with Vaseline a lot just to make the pigment pop and allow it to really stand out on darker skin colours.

Case of "On the Go" Palette.. I bought this a few years ago so there probably not on sale anymore :(
But if your from the UK look out for them around your town center they set up little stalls and sell bundles at really good prices!

Brushes I used, I really need to invest in some high quality brushes.

I got this in a goodie bag from a fashion show but they sell them in Superdrug, Boots etc, really easy to apply.

A more subtle natural look using the Brown and Gold on the left and right of the Navy I used for the first look. I used the Gold on the eyelid up to the crease using the sponge shadow brush, then filled in between the crease and brow bone with the Brown using a fluffier version of the angled brush shown above to give it a softer look. I decided to use clear mascara to keep the eye clean. My sisters only 12 so she has never plucked her brows before.. I kind of wish that I'd never started a clean brows nice but sometimes can be too harsh.. what do you think to tamed brows?

I might have another practice when my sister gets home from school and complete a whole face look.
