CINNAMON'S HEALTHY BODY RULES!

Hello lovelies!
This post is the first of many health related posts.
I've always been into health and fitness but never took it seriously until now.

Here's a couple of rules I live my life by, try them out for yourself see if they work for you too!

Ever wondered why you can go hours without snacking during summer?
- Because you are drinking more water.

When we're thirsty our body can sometimes send out hunger signals
to our brain when in fact our body could just be crying out for more water.

Next time you go to reach for that biscuit tin,
"Think Drink"
Grab a glass of water then reevaluate.

"Do you still want that hobnob?"

It's all good and well saying you're not going to eat biscuits or sweets for a month.
But, let's be realistic! If they are such a big part of your life that you are considering cutting them out,
it's not going to be an easy ride to go cold turkey!

If you say to yourself.. "Right, I'm not eating any chocolate anymore!"
All your going to think about it the fact that you can't have chocolate, it's going to be torture when you see Linda tucking into a kit kat at lunch time and all that's on your mind is:

"Chocolate, Chocolate, Chocolate!!"

Then at weekend you'll give in and eat more than you normally would.

Instead of banning something you love, bring something healthier into your lifestyle.
Soon enough you'll love the satisfying feeling you get from your healthier snack and
 forget about chocolate all together!

If you're a calorie counter try and think of other things you can eat for the same amount of calories.
I love this example above, you could eat one whole croissant at over 300 calories or you could have 12, YES 12! Chocolate fingers.. I know which one I'd choose!

Now this has got to be the easiest rule of them all!
I'm often told,
"You eat well slow! I wouldn't take you for a meal!"

What people don't realise is, with me chewing more
I'm satisfying my hunger so I'm less likely to snack later on.
I'm also tasting more of my food which tells my brain I'm really enjoying the food I'm eating,
again leaving me feeling more satisfied!

There is no shame in leaving food on your plate, I know your Gran would probably disagree!
But honestly.. your an adult now, stop eating before you start to feel uncomfortable.

Don't be greedy, no one likes a food baby!

If you eat a lot and fast! Try this technique, you'll find that you start to eat less but won't go starving.

For those of you who know me you know how much I love to walk!

For those of you moaning about not getting enough exercise or are have a gym phobia,
here's a quick and FREE solution.

Go for a walk.

I fell in love with walking when I was in college, it was snowing, the buses where cancelled but I really needed to get to town. So, I power walked. A whole 4 miles.

It killed me at the time but I felt great sense of achievement :)

I have a car now, but since then I've power walked that 4 miles around 6 times in the last 3 years.

Power walking is fantastic cardio for those who want to ease themselves into exercise.
Its enjoyable as well, you can do it with your friends or your dog :)

If you change one thing about your life this week, see to it that you start walking more.

I honestly believe that if I didn't walk so much I wouldn't be as slim as I am today.

Your food should look like a firework has gone off on your plate!

I absolutely love fruit and veg so this is very easy for me to grab a plate of raw carrots and cucumber.

Ideally you should be eating 5-7 portions of fruit and veggies a day!
However, its a pretty well known fact that hardly anyone in the UK hits those portion sizes.

Eating veggies doesn't have to be boring!
Pinterest has thousands of pins on how to bring some magic to your veggies!

I personally love anything Mediterranean style :)

If you haven't read or watched the secret I suggest you leave this post for a second and have a look.
The films on Netflix.

I'm a HUGE believer in the law of attraction.

This time last year I was having a horrible time and all I could think about was how horrible everything in my life was going and that I could never get out of the loop I'd got myself in.

Then earlier this year after the most horrendous tutorial of my whole life in education changed everything.
I started to take things that didn't make me happy less serious and focused on the things I was good at and the things that made me happy and sure enough my life is changing, because I now believe it will.

I can't is just not a word that enters my vocabulary any more.
Saying yes to more opportunities and believing you CAN do things WILL change your life guaranteed!

I've come along way from crying myself to sleep worrying over things that we're making me unhappy.
Now everyone I meet tells me I'm always happy, smiling and full of positivity.

Your mindset changes everything.

If you're not happy, your body isn't happy.

Be your own thinspiration, believe that you CAN achieve your goals.
Visualise the life and the body you want and you will achieve it!
