BEGINNERS AT HOME GUIDE TO A FLATTER STOMACH
Most women (and men), when asked stated they'd like to lose a couple of inches from their waistlines. Drop a clothing size and gain more confidence wearing tight fitting clothes.
Here are some tips to help you get started at home.
Ab rollers
Cheap and easy to pick up from your local quality save or super market store.
Helping you to focus on the movement and form of the exercise deeper in your core muscles.
Use up to 3 times a week in front of the TV and you'll start to see some progress in as little as 4 weeks.
HIIT workouts
Fast, hard workouts will produce better results than slow steady exercise.
Do some research into the movements you feel most comfortable doing for your ability.
Water retention
Excess water can boost the numbers on the scales and add inches to your waist.
Topping yourself up with around 8 glasses of water each day will help detox your body as well as flushing excess fluid away. Avoiding that extra serving of salt on your meals will also help rid that water weight.
Kettle bells
My secret weapon!
You can buy these from your local supermarket.
Pick 3 weights ranging from light to heavy.
The lightest should be easy enough to raise above your head freely without feeling like you're going to drop it.
The middleweight should still be easy to pick up with two hands, with it being more of a challenge with one.
The heaviest weight should be something you still feel comfortable with.. (We don't want any injuries!) but, should still be challenging enough.
Their are lots of amazing workouts on Pinterest for kettle bells which target specific areas.
Keep a look out for an upcoming post where I will be showing you my favourite kettle bell workout routines.
Eating right
You know your body.
You know the foods which make you bloated and the foods you should steer clear of.
Make yourself a food plan using foods with only one ingredient.. such as
Tomato,
Avacado,
Egg.
(Of course you may still use herbs and spices.)
Steer clear of preservatives and bargain freezer food.
Add more vegetables onto your plate, they should make up around half of your meals.
This means no more double servings of meat and more veggies.
As always, consult with a doctor or physician before radically changing your lifestyle.
Stay safe, Stay salty!
